From the photographer: “These are the Superstition Mountains, just east of Mesa, Arizona. Back in the 1800s, it was rumored that an old Dutchman had gained his fortune from a fertile Goldmine hidden deep within them thar hills. To this day, the mine has never been found, despite hundreds of envious prospectors combing the desert for decades, many finding nothing but their own demise.”
