Surreal Nightscape

An experiment of the ISO abilities of the then-new Canon 1Dx led to this surreal moment in the snow filled crater of an extinct volcano. Usually my images are busy with a prominent character or scene, here the stark emptiness feels the closest to expressing the silent connection to the infinite universe beyond our planet.
