Summer Milky Way in Sicily

A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “This image was taken in Punta Bianca nature in Sicily. The building in foreground is an ancient cantoniera house set in the middle of a white calcareous rocky spur plunging in a crystal clear seaside creating little bays and coves. This place is a true paradise and is not very popular due its accessibility. In this nature reserve the night sky is very dark and clear in the south and it is possible to admire various constellations. In particular, my favorite is the constellation near the center of the milky way, the so-called Scorpius, which I enhanced in post production to make it more visible. In the left top corner of the frame the giant gas planet Jupiter and the fainter Saturn.”
