From the photographer: “In the morning of August 12, 2022 we saw the full moon (sturgeon moon) in the southwest. From the small town of Altefähr on the island of Rügen, I was able to find a position from which the moon would set near the church of St. Nikolai of Stralsund. Clear visibility to the horizon allowed a detailed telephoto of the beautiful scene just before sunrise.”
