Startrails Over Beidou Mountain
Description
A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “The word Beidou means The Big Dipper. According to legend, the villagers at the foot of the mountain believed that the arrangement of the Great Wall on the mountain was very similar to the Big Dipper, so they named this mountain as Beidou Mountain. This is one of the most important checkpoints of the Great Wall of China in the northern region of Beijing. In ancient times, it was responsible for preventing foreign aggression against Beijing. The original Great Wall was already in ruins, but the government has repaired this section of the Great Wall and it looks very new.”
