Star Trails Over Haute Provence Observatory
Description
From the photographer: “This is a 5-hour star trail showing two telescopes of the Haute Provence Observatory, in France; the T120cm (built in 1875) on the left and the T193cm on the right (the one that uncovered the first extrasolar planet, 51 Pegasi). This star trail was captured during the night of the 24th of February, 2009, in the direction of the Orion constellation and the celestial equator.”
