Star Trails Above the Fortress

With the Earth rotation star trails appear in this long-exposure sequence above the fortress at Enisala, Romania. The fortress was built by the Genovese merchants at the beginning of the 14th century. It’s the only medieval fortress in Dobrogea (a province in SE Romania) that survived the Russo-Turkish wars in the 19th century. It’s located close to the rich biodiversity area of the Danube Delta which ism a World Heritage site.
