A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “A small village in ancient Sicily built with the aim of repainting the countryside today survives the passage of time. All is not lost, the memory is still alive and the village has returned to new life, recovered with a careful restoration work that has restored luster to the small town. One last building remains as evidence of the passage of time: the church at the end of the avenue that still awaits human intervention. The church appears torn and the left aisle has detached from the building and hangs dangerously with its bell tower. The stars shine in the sky, solitary witnesses to the passage of time and the history of humanity.”
