Description

Prominent stars of the northern hemisphere winter nights appears over a stairway in Izu Peninsula at the eastern coast of Japan (Shizuoka Prefecture). Constellation Orion, the Hunter, appears at top and Sirius, the brightest star in the Earth night sky, is lower in the middle. Procyon is on the left; another bright winter star. © Shingo Takei
