The wonder of comet Hyakutake among dancing aurora. As noted by the photographer “it was my first comet, and to see it floating in the dark sky was such an incredible delight. That star with a glowing tail! standing dead center in this shot. How beautiful it was to see that added treat to our normal winter skies. The auroras often grace our darkness night after night with their ethereal light, along with the stars, but on this night there was something new in the darkness, a new spirit in the heavens. The sky really is alive!”
