Space Station and Discovery Shuttle
Description
As seen on National Geographic News the space shuttle Discovery and the International Space Station pass across the sky above Hungary. The shuttle was separated from the station on the way back home. This was the last flight of Discovery before getting retired. Discovery appears surrounded by haze because the shuttle was in the process of dumping wastewater when this sequence of images was taken. April 5, 2011 at 6:58 amThanks for your comment. I used a Canon 500D camera body and a Canon 16-35 L objective at 17 mm with 10 sec exposure and iso 3200. These are commonly used equipment in astrophotography. You have to prepare well for the event: make a calculation of the transit before and choose a good location:)
