Sistan Winter Night

Winter stars, from Sirius to stars of Orion and Taurus (including Pleiades at top) over the 2000-year old ruins of ancient Persia above Mount Khajeh, which is a flat-topped hill rising up as an island in the middle of Lake Hamun, in the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan, near the border of Afghanistan. According to Zoroastrian legend, Lake Hamun is the keeper of Zoroaster’s seed.
