Siding Spring Milky Way

The band of the Milky Way is photographed in the starry sky above Siding Spring Observatory near Coonabarabran, Australia. The observatory includes the famous 3.9 meters Anglo-Australian Telescope along with about a dozen smaller telescopes. The observatory is situated on Mount Woorat also known as Siding Spring Mountain in the Warrumbungle National Park. There are currently 12 telescopes on site. © Kwon, O Chul
