Description

The Full Moon rises at dusk above Scituate Light near Boston. From the photographer: “I didn’t expect the crowd of people there, many of whom arrived before me and swarmed over the spot I wanted to shoot from. Apparently a lot more people than I expected know how to calculate the right spot! The closest I could get was about 250 feet to the north, which ruined my plans for an extremely tight shot with the Tele Vue scope I used for my other closeup moonrise images. The attached is done with a 300-mm lens. Even this one almost didn’t happen because of a dog on a leash that got wrapped around my tripod leg and nearly flipped the setup over!” © Dennis di Cicco
