Description

The conjunction of Venus and Moon above the Santiago city. As noted by the photographer: “On the evening of 2021 Dec 6, while traveling in Chile after the solar eclipse over Antarctica, I met TWAN colleague Yuri Beletsky, and we drove to a nearby hill in east Santiago. After leaving the car at the last suitable point, we hiked around 1.2 km to gain the last 300 meters to reach Cerro Manquehuito, at 1316 meters of elevation. Santiago provided a shiny foreground for Venus and Moon conjunction.”
