From the photographer: “January 30th 2017, timelapsing Atitlan’s lake, for me a Guatemalan sacred site surrounded by 3 volcanoes and Mayan history. Volcán Tolimán (left), Atitlán (center) and San Pedro (right). During the season when the settling winter sky welcomes the summer skies in the northern hemisphere, the beautiful night shows how the southern crux and the southern jewelry rises above Volcán Atitlán as Orion sets and the milky way core rises with the magnificent scorpious just before sunrise.”
