Rising Earth shadow and the Belt of Venus
Description
Close to the highest point of the isle La Palma, the famous Roque de los Muchachos, you have a fantastic view in direction of another island: Tenerife, with the high mountain Teide. In July the sunset in North West causes the earth shadow to rise over South Eest at the beginning of dusk. In the very clear atmosphere, the colours of the shadow and especially the purple venus belt are breathtaking, spectacular. This panoramic photo with a field of view of 200° was taken in an altitude of approximately 2.000 meters above the sea and perhaps 1.200 eur above the clouds.
