Description

From the photographer: “A view from the iconic Rainbow Valley in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. There was beautiful colour in the sky early during the night with airglow combined with a little bit of a pinkish haze from the stratospheric aerosols that originated from the 2021 Tonga eruption. During the day this mountainous region is very colourful from all the clay, salts and minerals. The white that you see on the ground is not snow but salt.”

Technical details: Canon R6, ISO 6400, Sigma 15mm @ f2.8, 30 seconds, horizontal pano stitched in LR and Processed in PS

Hello, your photographs are incredible! Wonderful!
I wondered if the curvature of the Milky Way is due to time lapse photography or the wide angle lens or both?
    Thanks much!
    Best,
