Rain of Stars Over the Mediterranean Sea

A photo composite of multiple exposures. From the photographer: “Unlike what is usually seen, I wanted to create a startrail in which the concentricity of the stars around the polar is not highlighted, so to minimize this effect I aimed the camera to the west / south-west. The result is a colorful shower of stars that descends diagonally over the Mediterranean Sea. The most consistent magenta trail that crosses the agave in the foreground is that relating to the Orion nebula.”
