Description

From the photographer: “Piazza San Marco, known in English as St Mark’s Square, is the principal public square of Venice, Italy. The bright object to the right of the bell tower is Jupiter. The remarkable aspect of this image, apart from the lack of stars, is the lack of people in the square, which in daylight hours is crowded with tourists.”

Technical details: Single-exposure, Olympus XZ-1, 6-24mm lens @ 6mm (equivalent to 28mm in 35mm format), f/1.8, ISO-100, 1/2s.
