Description

From the photographer: “Two prominent Perseid meteors appear above the Himalayan Chandra Telescope, the world’s 10th highest observatory located at 4,500m (~14,764ft) above mean sea level. The bright meteor is next to Andromeda galaxy seen as a fuzzy patch towards the top of the image. The yellow reflection on the dome is Mars (which was behind me and bright in early August). August being prime monsoon season in India, I was fortunate to get a break in the passing clouds to capture this scene.”
