Perseid Meteor Shower (composite)
Description
The annual Perseid Meteor Shower that usually peaks on the morning of August 12 is one of the most watched celestial events and has inspired many of the night sky beauties. This picture of the constellation Taurus is a stacked composite of 5 photos taken during 48 minutes. From the photographer: “I drove to the Mojave National Preserve and set a camera toward this volcanic hill. The captured meteors shows interesting colors and the view shows the shower’s radiant point in Perseus along with the Pleiades & California Nebula.”
