From the photographer: “This is a photo of a bristle-cone pine in the Ancient Bristle-cone Pine Forest, with star trails using “stacking”. Light painted with my handy head lamp. Nikon D90, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens. 50 minute exposure in total (stacked). The photo is composed of one hundred 30-second photos f/3.5, ISO 1250 each. 11000 ft/3350 meters in elevation.”
