Description

All-sky timelapse motion of Cerro Paranal Observatory in Atacama Desert of Chile. The Galactic Center reaches the the zenith in this fisheye photo sequence. Using a special set of equipment this video is made in very high resolution at 8000 x 8000 pixels, for largest planetarium domes. Our two neighboring galaxies, the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds are visible on the top left of the scene. The zodiacal light appears on the bottom of the video at the beginning (dusk) and on the top right at the end of (dawn).
