Description

From the photographer: “This panoramic view was captured on March 19, 2011, when the Full Moon was at perigee in its orbit; 14% bigger and 30% brighter then usual. The bright star Sirius is at center top of this image taken at Cape Espichel – a region where many rocky cliffs face the Atlantic Ocean. Due to the strong light of the full Moon (at far left) the landscape is clearly illuminated in this scene. The darker center of the image is looking south.”
