Description

A dark ‪starry‬ night at the shore of Southern Ocean in Port Campbell National Park, Victoria, ‎Australia‬. The next landmass across this ocean is Antarctica. A time-exposure image of star trails, the sky motion caused by the Earth rotation. The image foreground is the Loch Ard Gorge, named after a ship that tragically ran aground in 1878. The two rocks pictured are the remnants of a collapsed arch and are named Tom and Eva after the only two people who survived.
