Northern Lights from New York

From the photographer: “The sky erupts in colors with prominent light columns of the northern lights on the northern horizon. The astro modified camera picked up the red color very well!

In the second photo, the crescent moon is reflected on the water just before moonset as it peaks between the hills and the clouds. The serene scene on Ashokan Reservoir (Catskills NY) as a historic G5 storm unfolds a slew of colors over the horizon.”

Camera: Sony A7 III ( astromodified to see more red wavelength)
Lens: Sony 12-24mm
