New Moon Setting Over the Northern Rockies

From the photographer: “The two tall peaks are Mt Meeker, elevation 13,916 ft (4,242 m) and Long’s Peak, elevation 14,259 ft (4346 m). Both mountains are within the borders of Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, USA. The picture was taken from my home approximately 30 miles NW of the peaks. The Moon was just two days past official “New Moon” phase about 2-3% disc illumination.”
