Mysterious Cloud above Iran

A bright changing cloud appeared in the night sky of the Middle East on 2012 June 7. Spotted by many observers from different countries in the region, this stunning image is made from northern Iran. Such clouds are generally associated with rocket launches and the rocket fuel exhaust above the atmosphere, reflecting sunlight as it expands in the space.
