Moonrise in the Alps

From the photographer: “The nearly full moon rises over Gosau lake (visible at far left), illuminating the impressive Gosaukamm mountain range. With minimal light pollution and crystal clear skies, the Milky Way is even visible with the bright moon in the sky. Among the constellations visible in this image are Pegasus (at far left, above the moon), Aquila, the eagle (near the Milky Way) and Delphinus, the dolphin, to the upper left of it. At far right, the memorable semi-circular shape of Corona Borealis, the northern crown, is visible just above the mountaintops.”
