Description

A single-exposure photo. From the photographer: “It was 4:30 am when I woke up; I confess it was quite difficult. I grabbed my camera bag and my tripod and left the hotel in order to capture the rising crescent moon. I went to the port of Gythio and I framed my shot using an app before the moonrise. I placed the famous lighthouse (landmark of Gythio) at the left of the frame in order to include in the frame the crescent moon and Venus as well. The atmosphere was incredible; the silence and the calmness of the sea combined with the vibrant colours of the dawn. I decided that this was my favorite competition because I liked that the light of the lighthouse, the moon, and the Venus are lined up perfectly. Move the slider on image to see labels.”
