Moon and Pleiades above the Easter Island
Description
Through passing clouds the Moon and Pleiades star cluster (Seven Sisters) briefly appear above the Easter Island. Its a bizarre experience to stand besides these giant statues which are locally called Moais. They are dated back to 13th to 15th century from the lost ancient civilization of this isolated Pacific Ocean island.

September 2, 2010 at 9:43 pmI’ve been doing a lot of research about the moon, and this is just a theory but ancient texts from all over the world Sumerian, Greek, Mesopotamian explain the moon was put into our orbit? On a whim I thought maybe the heads are to symbolise that?
