Moon and Jupiter over the Crater Rim

The Moon and Jupiter sets over the rim of the Haleakala Crater, as seen from inside of this massive shield volcano that forms more than 75% of the Hawaiian Island of Maui. The white plants on the ground are the rare Haleakala Silversword, a plant of sunflower family which is only found on the island of Maui at an elevation of 2,100 to 3,000 m of the Haleakala environment.
