Description

The arc of Milky way rise above the Monument Valley. Monument Valley is a sprawling area on the Colorado Plateau featuring towering sandstone mesas, buttes, and pinnacles. It’s located on the border of Utah and Arizona, within the Navajo Nation reservation. The most famous buttes are Merrick Butte, John Ford’s Point, and The Mittens. These formations have been shaped by millions of years of erosion from wind and water. Monument Valley is considered sacred by the Navajo people and has been featured in many movies and television shows, including westerns, documentaries, and commercials.
