Milky Way Over the Marathon

From the photographer: “The great band of Milky Way stars appears just over this special place for amateur observers. This panoramic image was captured during the 10th observing competition known as the Messier Observing Marathon. Over 120 observers gathered from all over Iran to gaze at several dozen cosmic objects. The yellowish glows at the left of the image are from city light pollution. The observers red light traces appear to the right of the frame.” – Mahdi Zamani
