Milky Way over Stone Forest

As presented by 2014 Star party of Sichuan astronomy club: “The image above shows the northern milky way shines above the yellow river stone forest in Gansu province of China. Vega is the brightest star in this view, appears at upper right. The Yellow River Stone Forest was formed about 4 million years ago by geologic actions like the Yanshan Movement, crustal movements, riverbed entrenchment, weathering and rain erosion.”
