Milky Way Over Big Island

From the photographer: “The summer Milky Way rises over the Big Island, hovering above the clouds. Mauna Loa is the largest volcano on the island, in the center of the panorama. On the very left is the glow of Hilo, while in the center is the glow from Kilauea. In the foreground is Hale Pohaku, where astronomers stay during the day time. The glow of Kailua-Kona dominates the right side of the image.
