Bright star Antares at the Scorpion’s heart is on the upper right. The Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC), operated by Spain, appears in the foreground. It is one of the world’s largest telescopes with the aperture of 10.4 m. There are about a dozen major telescopes on this mountain including the 3.6 meter TNG (Telescopio Nazionale Galileo, belongs to Italy) appears on the left.
