Description

A bright Leonid crosses the sky above the natural limestone formations of “The Pinnacles” in Western Australia. As recorded in this long exposure image of southern startrails the Pinnacles provides a spectacular night-time location to view the stars. The Pinnacles are limestone formations. The raw material for the limestone of the Pinnacles came from seashells in an earlier epoch rich in marine life.
