Description

A bright meteor streaks the partly clear sky of Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf. (Click on the second photo to see another nightscape B&W view of the place). The limestone landscape is curved by water and air over the time making statue-like formation across the island. The image is made during the peak of Geminid meteor shower in mid-December, one of the strongest annual meteor activities in the night sky.
