Description

As seen on National Geographic News a bright meteor strikes the moonlit sky during the 2009 Perseid Meteor Shower, as seen from the World Heritage Site of Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. As noted by the photographer “Most of British Columbia was cloudy or rainy so I decided to drive to Alberta to watch Perseids. It was cloudy when I arrived to Banff National Park, but the sky opened up some part of the night. This image was taken at 04:36 am local time.”
