Mars, Saturn, and Rising Milky Way
Description
The Milky Way rises over The Cove of Île Vierge (also known as the Virgin Island) in the Brittany of France. On the right Mars as its brightest shines in Virgo. Saturn is the second brightest in this part of the sky, to the left of Mars. The light pollution of nearby coastline towns vanishes the natural sky towards the east. Mars appears here near its opposition with the Earth which happens every 26 months and brought the two planets to closest orbital distance and causes Mars to become quite bright in the Earth sky.
