Description

A Notable Photo of the 2016 International Earth & Sky Photo Contest
From the photographer: “The photograph took only 1/320 seconds, but the preparation and study was about two months. It was coordinated with a friend who climbed to the top of the mountain. I moved away about 3,170 meters and waited for moonrise right on the center line with the top of the mountain so I could see a silhouette of my friend.

Technical details: telescope 550 mm, f/6.2 , 1/320 sec ,ISO 1250”
