From the photographer: “You know the mountains on the Coors Light cans? These are them! Spent a night looking for a glimpse of aurora on the northern horizon, didn’t find it, but got a great view of the beautiful mountains and stars nonetheless!” The orange clouds is airglow; natural emission of the Earth upper atmosphere.
