Magellan Clouds from Argentina
Description
From the photographer: “On the right side of this clear night sky image you will find the large and small Magellanic Clouds, each containing millions of stars. These ‘clouds’ are actually small irregular galaxies orbiting our own Milky Way galaxy. They can be seen with the naked eye from dark sky locations in the Southern Hemisphere. The domes of light along the horizon in the photo are produced by light pollution from distant towns.”
