Lovejoy and Galaxies

Comet Lovejoy (C/2011 W3) is photographed in the morning sky above Andes, near Santiago de Chile. The stunning comet of December 2011 is captured here against the southern Milky Way and our two smaller neighboring galaxies Large and Small Magellanic Clouds are notable on the right.
