Looking to the Past

From the photographer: “The southern winter sky framed through the roof of the Wilcherry homestead ruin, South Australia. The dust lanes within the Milky Way between Scorpius and the Southern Cross is known in Aboriginal culture as the “Emu in the sky” and seen here on its side. The homestead was occupied from the early 1900s to the mid-1950s and is now part of Uno Station, a broad acre sheep grazing property.”
