Description

The only stars visible in this image are in fact the two brightest planets of the night sky, Venus (the brighter) and Jupiter, while in a conjunction in the evening sky of Delhi, India. The sky of the metropolitan is dominated by light and only few stars would be visible in such conditions. The peaceful location in the densely populated city is the 16th century Athpula Bridge in the historic Lodi Gardens. The beautiful planetary conjunction of Venus and Jupiter was an eye-catching view from all around the planet during March 2012.
