Description

From the photographer: “Seeing the Milky Way while perched up on a mountain overlooking Leh was a magical part of the trip to the Himalayas. Leh Palace, built in the 17th Century and modelled on the Potala Palace in Lhasa in Tibet, has a forbidding, somewhat spooky feel at night, but is lovingly being refurbished by the Archeological Survey of India, who have done an outstanding job so far.”

Technical info: Nikon D7000, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens. Leh Palace was light painted with a bright flashlight. ISO 3200, 20 second exposure, f/2.8.
