Landing on Full Moon

From the photographer: “Flight A3625 from Amsterdam to Athens is about to land at Athens International Airport. The Airbus A321 Neo already has the landing gear extended, and the crew is ready for landing, while November’s full moon is rising behind the hills and the northeast side of the airport. The light of the moon is diffracted by the high-temperature exhaust gasses from the two PW1100G engines, creating this unique illusion. It was a frame that I had in my mind since I moved to Athens, and it finally came out beautifully. Hope for more.”
